Bowling Analysis by Brahma
Hi,
Rajeev, this is exactly what we discussed after u left
absurdly ;-)..
Jay proposed that we should consider that we have a
pool of 7-8 players who we could potentially bowl
depending on the match situation.. These need not be
a defined set of players but could be shuffled as we
deem fit.. Cricket is not rocket science and only by
experimentation and open-mindedness, we can identify
potential and nurture it... If you think deep, the
same was achieved in our batting... We experimented in
batting and now we identified some good
batsman(ofcourse, its good that we are always open to
changing our batting order)..
Since we are on analysis, I feel we need to improve a
lot on calling between our wickets.. Since I've been
on the receiving end of what I percieve as misjudged
runs(considering that both times I was on back foot
and today I even slipped ;-), we should not run scared
of just making our end.. A run can be completed only
if both batsman cross ends(;-)).. So the calling and
response should be appropriate accordingly(always with
the partner in consideration).. I know its a split
decision on the field, but if we can just improve our
FOCUS when calling and responding, that should do us
good in the long run.. Sometimes, it could be an easy
single we miss or sometimes its a cheeky single we
steal..
PS -- On the same note, I agree that if I was
aggressive I could have made both those runs, or
atleast got the other person run-out if I took a
relaxed approach ;-) instead of getting run-out when I
was looking GOOD for a long innings...

Bowling Analysis by Raj Arora
Guys,
Let me put this topic on the table....
Bowlers who are not regular cannot be judged on their performances by bowling 2-3 overs in one match and taking off those bowlers in consequent matches.
Bowlers mindset is totally different in a match as against during normal practise. I want to say we all need to try and encourage non-regular bowlers and get them to stride during matches.
Again I m sorry to sound harsh on regular bowlers, they are doing great job but as a team effort I feel if the regular bowler is not able to keep it up to his expectation (no extras atleast in first spell of 2 overs), he very well knows it and that he should himself come forward and call for a change.
If something is not workin once, no problem, we give a thought and try again. and if doesnt work second time too, we think again and take it as a mistake and apply ourselves not to repeat it, but if something happens again and again, it really asks for a change.
Extras equation in last two matches:
last match 35 extras in the opponent scoring 82
todays match 40 extras in opponent scoring 63
check it out its atleast 7 overs extra (opponent playing 27 overs).
